The listed half-timbered building in the main house of our romantic hotel invites you with its special charm to feel good. Even after renovation work, the traditional character of the former school of Bad Berleburg is preserved.
Look forward to an overnight stay in the main house Alte Schule with a mixture of loving details from days gone by and a modern ambience. Due to the building structure, no room is like the other. The room categories are similar in terms of size, the different cut of the rooms was individually optimized during the interior design planning.

Your room will be ready from 15:00 on the day of arrival and until 11:00 on the day of departure.
Our reception is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 to 17:00. It is located in the Altes Museum building at Goetheplatz 3.
If you are unable to arrive until after 17:00 or 20:00, please inform us in good time.
A later arrival is also possible by mutual agreement.
Unless otherwise stated, all prices are per room and night including breakfast buffet. You can book our half-board (3-course menu) for an additional € 32 per person and day. Please note: Our restaurant will close on 31.05.24. Until then it will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5 pm and Sundays from 11 am. Wednesday and Thursday are closed. Of course, your package price will be adjusted for these days and reduced by € 10 per person per night.
We are happy to provide you with a double room as a single room for an additional charge. In our online booking system, double rooms that can be booked as single rooms are automatically suggested to you. For extra nights or advance bookings in combination with an arrangement, you will receive a discount of € 10 per person per night on the regular room rate.
For less than 2 nights on weekends and public holidays we charge an additional surcharge of: 5 € per person & night for an overnight stay from Friday to Saturday and 10 € per person & night for an overnight stay from Saturday to Sunday.
In addition, the town of Bad Berleburg charges a visitor's tax of € 1.70 per person per night from the age of 18. This is to be paid on departure.

Infants sleep in a cot for €10 per night. Children up to 3 years stay free of charge in the parents' bed. Children from 4 - 10 years stay in the parents' room in an extra bed for 20 € including breakfast. Children from 11 years 30,- €.
In our feel-good rooms and the whole hotel you can use our free WLAN.
In the rooms of the guest houses Alte Schule and Altes Museum a hot water heater with coffee and tea is included.
The use of our in-house parking spaces is free of charge for all guests.
For your holiday with dog in our hotel, there are four cosy rooms with oak country house floorboards and, depending on the category, a free-standing bath tub available in the main house Alte Schule. Three rooms can be reached from the courtyard with their own entrance.
Your four-legged friend is also welcome in parts of our restaurant. Dogs stay with us from € 8.50 per night and pet - master and mistress cost extra!
Please indicate when booking that you are travelling with a dog. You can find more information about holidays with dogs here.
We are happy to accommodate your allergies within the scope of our possibilities and provide bedding suitable for allergies. Dogs are only allowed in our four courtyard rooms and in parts of the restaurant.

Our entire hotel building, including all rooms, is a non-smoking area! In case of violations, you will incur costs for additional cleaning as well as possible losses in the subsequent rental of the room.

Billing is based on consumption at 69 cents/kWh. On a trust basis, i.e. you read the charged electricity on your display and inform our reception of the kW number, so that they book the same on your room bill.
You are welcome to inform us of your "charging request" at the time of booking, so that we can reserve appropriate time slots when several guests with e-cars are vacationing with us.
